Our favorite place to swim and wade is at Chickasaw National Recreation Area.  This is a National Park Service site and is very clean and well maintained.  Antelope and Buffalo Springs are the headwaters that create Travertine Creek.  All along the creek there are rocks and dams which make beautiful small waterfalls and swimming holes.  The largest waterfall is named Little Niagara – see photo below.  The best thing about this place is that is FREE !  Check it out at www.nps.gov/chic

Other nearby places to swim include Turners Fall, Arbuckle Lake, and Veterans Lake.
